Species hunter Jarno Laihinen from Finland who has been following Palm Tree for several years had a truly amazing session when he visited us in November. He added fifteen new species to his list including the three that were on top of his wish list namely Siamese carp, giant featherback and Juliens golden price carp. He earnt himself four Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirts during the session two carp and two catfish. The plethora of species that he caught included the likes of giant snakehead, giraffe catfish, grass carp, wallago attu, black shark minnow, chao phraya catfish, alligator gar, rohu yellow catfish, suckermouth catfish, crystal eyed catfish, marble goby, striped catfish, mollycot as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Session two in November was another cracker for Mike Cr as he landed his first ever Chinese black carp, as well as a pb wallago attu, some Siamese carp and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
It was a stellar session for Jonny Boye in November as he caught a right belter of a Salawin catfish, gained another Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirt with an awesome Chao phraya catfish and a new species in the form of an elephant ear gourami. He also landed Juliens golden price carp, alligator gar, catla carp, Amazon redtail and more…
 
 
 
 
Tim and Benny took Benji up to Khao Laem again in November. Benji had a great time catching some stunning black shark minnow and java barb, as well as yellow catfish, nandid tiger perch, zebra tilapia and tinfoil barb.
 
 
 
 
It was another Palm Tree BIG Carp Club t-shirt session for Mike Cr on his first visit in November as he landed another huge Siamese carp. He also caught an absolutely stunning albino Chinese silver carp as well as Mekong catfish, striped catfish, and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Graham Wall had another enjoyable session in November landing a nice chao phraya catfish as well as ripsaw catfish, the ‘Friendly Mekong’, crystal eyed catfish a new species for him, Siamese carp, striped catfish, rohu, and black ear catfish.
 
 
 
 
November was another good month for Benji and the rest of the troop, catching a number of Siamese carp, as well as giraffe catfish, tambaqui, black shark minnow, mrigal, clown featherback, rohu x black shark minnow, Amazon redtail and rohu.
 
 
 
 
Craig Hartwell returned in November after almost five years with three of his Wasana regulars. He successfully smashed his Siamese carp and Amazon redtails pbs as well as landing a new species a wallago attu. Between them they caught a number of different species that included, ripsaw catfish, alligator gar, tambaqui, Mekong catfish, elephant ear gourami, yellow catfish, striped catfish, rohu, and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Graham Wall had another great session in November landing a very chunky Mekong catfish, another Siamese carp over the 100lb mark as well as ripsaw catfish, black ear catfish, alligator gar, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Apart from a very fat Mekong catfish Tim’s November session included some of the more rarely caught species like giant snakehead, wallago leeri and giant featherback as well as elephant ear gourami, and Siamese carp.
 
 
 
 
Jon Gregory returned in November after a lengthy absence and caught three new species namely Chinese black carp, wallago attu and mollycot. He also landed Siamese carp, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Rick Moore continued his quest for a Palm Tree BIG Catfish Club t-shirt in November and this time was successful after battling for 90 minutes with the ;Friendly Mekong’. He also caught some nice Amazon redtail, as well as Siamese carp, alligator gar, mollycot and Thai redtail.
 
 
 
 
Dave Brett made his inaugural visit to Palm Tree during November catching Siamese carp, Mekong catfish, striped catfish as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
First timer Ian Irving enjoyed his visit breaking three pb’s Siamese carp, Amazon redtail and Mekong catfish in the form of the ‘Friendly One’. In addition he landed two new species wallago attu and Asian redtail, as well as striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
James Wilkinson was another angler who returned in November this time landing the ‘Friendly Mekong’, in addition he also caught Siamese carp, wallago attu, giant gourami, striped catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Dennis de Ruiter returned for another session in November catching a new species in the form of a Chinese black carp, as well as a nice tambaqui, Amazon redtail and more….
 
 
 
 
You can’t keep Dan Hastings away as he returned in November this time landing a pb pacu as well as rohu, Siamese carp, giant gourami, mollycot and more… He also picked up his Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirts from his October session.
 
 
 
 
It was a quiet session for John Harvey in November but he did manage to catch a nice Juliens golden price carp as well as a bearded labeo and a number of striped catfish. He also picked up his Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirts from his October session.
