Sharon Witherbed also finally returned after eleven years in February and what a session it turned out to be as she became the ‘First Lady’ to catch a carp over 200lb after a tumultuous forty minute battle with a 212lb Siamese carp. Ade Witherbed finally returned after eleven years in February and had another great trip catching a good sized arapaima as well as a chunky tambaqui, albino pacu, striped catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
ICW sent one of his customers Joe Amos down to Palm Tree in February and within hours of arriving and after a long battle he landed a monstrous Mekong catfish earning himself a BIG Catfish Club t-shirt in the process. He then went on to catch a variety of other superb fish that included tambaqui, ripsaw catfish, Salawin rita, elephant ear gourami, giant gourami, wels catfish, black shark minnow, pacu, rohu, chao Phraya catfish, striped catfish, Siamese carp, alligator gar, albino pacu, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Leen de Groot had a much better session when he returned in February that was topped off by landing a rare granulated catfish. He also caught carp in excess of 100lb as well as albino pacu, giant gourami, rohu, Amazon redtail and more…1
 
 
 
 
Jeff Lock finally made it back to Palm Tree in February after a five year hiatus and it wasn’t long before he smashed his Siamese carp pb, and then went on to catch a number of new species for him like catla carp, mollycot, ripsaw catfish, giant featherback, and tambaqui. He also landed a pb Mekong catfish, striped catfish, chao Phraya catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Brett Simmons returned in February gaining himself another two Palm Tree Lagoon BIG fish t-shirts with the capture of the ‘Friendly Mekong’ on day one, and ‘The Warrior’ in the last twenty minutes of the final day. Didier Snoop finally made it back after seven years in February catching a number of chunky Mekong catfish and Amazon redtail. He also landed a very fat Siamese carp, chao Phraya catfish, striped catfish, mollycot and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Benji and the guides had a dabble again in February landing some great catches that included Siamese carp, granulated catfish, black shark minnow, ripsaw catfish, Salawin rita, wels catfish, albino chao Phraya, albino pacu.
 
 
 
 
David Morong enjoyed his session in February knocking the ripsaw catfish off his bucket list as well as catching black ear catfish, Siamese carp, striped catfish, catfish shark, albino pacu, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Colin Brandon caught some nice alligator gar during his session in February along with giant snakehead, striped catfish, albino pacu, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.

Mark Kelsey and his dad had a quick visit to Palm Tree in February and had a great day catching many Siamese carp that included ‘The Warrior’, as well as mollycot, striped catfish and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Some nice fish again for Kevin Mogg in February that included a mint black shark minnow and a very plump scale perfect rohu. He also caught albino pacu, alligator gar, Mekong catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Jacob Kofod and his fishing buddy visited us for the first time in February and were all smiles after catching the ‘Friendly mekong’ as well as tambaqui, a beautiful albino chao phraya, giant featherback, striped catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.7
