Regular John Harvey made the trip up from Pattaya and had up to that point never caught a 100lb+ Siamese carp. That was all about to change as after an 80 minute nail biting battle a lake record breaking monster Siamese carp of 232lb was safely in the cage. In addition to this he also caught leopard catfish, tambaqui, wallago attu, catfish shark, and Asian redtail.
 
Danish angler Poul Berthelsen had an incredible first daygetting not one but two Palm Tree Lagoon  BIG Fish Club t-shirts. Firstly he caught a monster Mekong Catfish and then he followed tins up with a more than awesome arapaima of 480lb+. He also caught Juliens golden price carp, chao phraya catfish, leopard catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
French angler Morgan Atmania who lives in Cambodia had an incredible first session catching a number of BIG Mekong Catfish topped off by an absolute cracker of 410lb that took almost two arm wrenching hours to subdue. Not finished there he then went onto catch a variety of other superb catches that included Salween rita, tambaqui, Siamese carp, chao phraya catfish, striped catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Another first timer Gavin Perfect spotted some fish gently taking bits of floating bread off the top near some hyacinth, so he cast a bit out on a waggler and was soon into a more than awesome mad bard that at just over 20lb smash the Palm Tree Lagoon lake record that has stood for five years. He also caught catla carp, Juliens golden price carp, a pb Mekong catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Tim Coakley returned and caught an absolute stunner of a Salween rita as well as a pristine giant gourami, pacu, crystal eyed catfish an ew species for him, wallago attu, Siamese carp and mollycot.
 
Finally, Palm Tree regular Lee Dunkerley got into the big Siamese carp landing a number of good sized fish including one that easily qualified him for Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Carp Club membership. He also amassed a number of other superb specimens such as catla carp, a rarely caught elephant ear gourami, leopard catfish, Juliens golden price carp, chao phraya catfish, a second Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish club t-shirt courtesy of the 'Friendly Mekong',, Asian and Amazon redtail and more...
 
David Silk returned with the aim of getting one of the Palm Tree BIG Fish Club t-shirt, and it wasn't long before his ambition was achieved landing an awesome Siamese carp of 190lb+ after a lengthy and tiring battle. He then went on to catch Juliens golden price carp, catla carp, ripsaw catfish which was another one ticked off the bucket list, pacu, leopard catfish, Mekong catfish, chao phraya catfish as well as both Amazon and Thai redtail.
 
You can't keep Matt Jones away for long as he returned for another quick session catching a variety of great fish the included a superb catla carp as well as African walking catfish, Juliens golden price carp, alligator gar, wallago attu, Mekong catfish, Siamese carp, as well as a number of both Amazon and Asian redtail and more...
 
Robert Saddleton and his son made their first visit to Palm Tree during the month successfully catching Siamese carp to a 100lb_+ and Amazon redtail.

Chris Battrick came to Palm Tree with big Mekong and big Siamese carp on his bucket list. Although he didn't get the carp this time the 'Friendly Mekong' obliged his second wish and was eventually landed after a lengthy tussle. He also caught rohu, leopard catfish, tambaqui, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Ciara and her friends came up from Bangkok for the day and enjoyed catching a stunning albino chao phraya, as well as a number of Asian and Amazon redtails.
 
Dean Webster returned during the month and had a number of nice catches topped off by a superb catla carp. He also landed Siamese carp, striped catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Eugene and his fishing buddy returned and this time both of them got into the Siamese carp, as well as alligator gar, striped catfish, crystal eyed catfish,, and both Thai and Amazon redtail.

Japanese angler Kouichi Yamamoto had a tough day but managed to catch an Asian redtail.
