Keith Neicho arrived at Palm Tree in January with one main goal to catch a big Siamese carp. We was more than happy after catching one around the 90lb only to become ecstatic the following day when after a forty minute battle a landed ‘The Warrior’ also gaining himself in the process a Big Carp Club t-shirt. He then went on to catch a number of other fish that included the rarely caught barramundi and crystal eyed catfish, as well as albino pacu, golden snakehead arapaima, some chunky Mekong catfish, giant featherback, black shark minnow, alligator gar, striped catfish, chao Phraya catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Miroslav Petkov came to Palm Tree in January on the search for big fish and big fish he caught starting off with the ‘Friendly Mekong’, followed by a five hour battle with an even bigger Mekong catfish, and then the icing on the cake catching the worlds biggest carp, a Siamese that was last weighed at 252lb, and earnt himself two different Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish t-shirts in the process. Tap of ‘Bangkok Fishing – Guide’ brought two customers down in January who were well pleased after they both acquired BIG Fish Club t-shirts after firstly landing after a forty minute battle a superb chao Phraya catfish that we had not seen for years, and then followed it up with ‘The Warrior’. What a session Gavin Hill had when he returned in January earning himself not one but two Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish t-shirts after capturing both the ‘Warrior’ and the ‘Friendly Mekong’. Mikael Andersson returned in January with Marthina to continue his quest to catch a 150lb+ Siamese carp, and was all smiles as he achieved this goal. Between them they caught a number of other impressive fish that included a number of other Siamese carp, tambaqui, black shark minnow, mrigal, Chinese silver carp, Chinese bighead carp, catfish shark, striped catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
