Top of Jon Miller's bucket list when he came to Palm Tree in October was to catch a big Chao Phraya catfish and this he achieved with an absolute belter of a 'Dogeater', along with banking two new species namely giant featherback and albino striped catfish. He also landed Siamese carp, the 'Friendly Mekong', striped catfish, along with both Amazon and Asian redtail.

What a fantastic session Tom Bear Fleat had when he visited us for the first time in October, earning himself not one but two Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish t-shirt after capturing both 'The Warrior' and the 'Friendly Mekong'. He also caught a nrmber of new species for him that included granulated catfish, tambaqui which was top of his bucket list, chao phraya catfish, a rare elephant ear gourami and a mollycot. John Foster after a great session earlier in the year was back already in October and had yet another stellar session adding another Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Carp Club t-shirt. He also landed several new species for him namely giant snakehead, albino striped catfish, yellow catfish and giant featherback. In addition to this he caught chao phraya catfish, alligator gar, striped catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.

Carsten Mede Nielsen was back in October and it wasn’t long before he was reacquainted with the ‘Friendly Mekong’. He also caught a number of other species that included the rarely caught striped snakehead as well as Siamese carp, tambaqui, black shark minnow, giant featherback, alligator gar, striped catfish, catla carp, albino catfish shark, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Ralph Jolly and his good mate Vinny dropped in for a quick visit in October and were happy with their catches of alligator gar, striped catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Adam was another first timer in October and became the first angler to catch a boeseman crocker in fact he caught two. Adrian Yearley visited us for the first time in October and it wasn’t long before he was into the biggest Mekong catfish in Palm Tree and after a mammoth battle he was all smiles as it was safely in the cage.
