A great first session in August for Dan Hasting’s smashing his chao phraya pb as well as catching an awesome giraffe catfish. He also landed many Juliens golden price carp, ripsaw catfish, Siamese carp, alligator gar, rohu, mollycot, striped catfish and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Another awesome trip for Graham Wall as he visited Palm Tree for the second time in August with two new species a right belter of a Chinese black carp and a mint Chinese silver carp. He also landed ripsaw catfish, a pb catla carp, secured himself yet another Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Carp Club t-shirt with a stunning Siamese carp, tambaqui, wallago attu, rohu, and striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
Mike Cr first trip in August was a right belter landing an awesome arapaima as well as Juliens golden price carp, wallago attu, ripsaw catfish, Siamese carp, alligator gar, catfish shark, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
The success on the corn continued for Tim in session three in August accounting for some of the more rarely caught species like small scale mud carp, ripsaw catfish, black shark minnow and soldier river barb. The Juliens golden price carp were definitely on the munch for John Harvey’s first visit to Palm Tree in August as he bagged nine of them as were as smashing his pacu pb. He also caught catla carp, rohu, Siamese carp, striped catfish, giant gourami and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Chaianan Thapchai’s first session in August was a right belter becoming the only angler to date to catch more than one firewood catfish in a single visit. Not stopping there he went on to land catla carp, Juliens golden price carp, ‘The Warrior’ for yet another BIG Carp Club t-shirt, tambaqui, black ear catfish, mollycot, Amazon redtail and more…
 
 
 
 
Benji, Sue, Pla Pim and Palmy caught a great variety of species during August the best of which were an awesome chao phraya catfish, a rarely caught common carp and a Chinese highfin catfish. They also landed black shark minnow, mollycot, rohu, giant gourami, striped catfish, alligator gar, grass carp, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Tim’s second session in August again was predominantly just fished with sweet corn with some of the historically hard to catch species like firewood catfish, common carp and Salawin rita falling for it. He also caught catla carp, graas carp, Chinese black carp, Juliens goloden price carp, pacu, mollycot, ripsaw catfish, tambaqui, leopard catfish, striped catfish, rohu, yellow catfish and more…
 
 
 
 
Graham Wall's had an awesome first session in July catching a right belter of a Salawin rita as well as some cracking Juliens golden price carp, Siamese carp to 100lb+, the 'Friendly Mekong', alligator gar, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Oz Smith’s inaugural visit to Palm Tree in August was a successful one catching a variety of fish that included Juliens golden price carp, ‘The Friendly Mekong’, grass carp, giant gourami, and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Cat and Peter Bernard returned in August and finally they caught a long sought after firewood catfish, as well as breaking their Mekong catfish pb with a colossal 400lber. They also landed tambaqui, wallago attu, ‘The Friendly Mekong’, alligator gar, yellow catfish, chao phraya catfish, Siamese carp, mollycot, striped catfish, as well as both amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Dan Hastings second visit in August was another good one as he finally joined the Palm Tree Lagoon 150lb Carp Club after bagging ‘The Warrior’ after a lengthy battle. Tony Mills had a great first visit to Palm Tree in August becoming the first angler to catch a common Carp out of the fishery. He then went on to break the lake Chinese highfin record and on the last cast of the day landed the ‘Friendly Mekong’. He also caught Juliens golden price carp, wallago attu, striped catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Chaianan Thapchai’s returned for a second session in August landing ‘The Friendly Mekong’ again for another BIG Catfish Club t-shirt as well as a stunning rohu. He also caught giant Gourami, grass carp, a rarely seen Java barb, yellow catfish, Siamese carp, leopard catfish, alligator gar, tambaqui, ripsaw catfish, as well as both Asian and amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
John Lererton gained himself a Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish t-shirt in August after successfully battling a 400lb+ Mekong catfish. He also caught Siamese carp, ripsaw catfish and crystal eyed catfish.

After completing 14 nights in quarantine Tim’s first session using sweet corn only resulted in a plethora of species such as Siamese carp, ripsaw catfish, elephant ear gourami, pacu, black shark minnow, catla carp, Mekong catfish, tambaqui, rohu, striped catfish, yellow catfish, and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
John Harvey again caught some nice fish on his second trip to Palm Tree that included the likes of Juliens golden price carp, ripsaw catfish, leopard catfish, catla carp, Siamese carp, alligator gar, Mekong catfish, rohu, black ear catfish and striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
Oz Smith came back for a second visit in August successfully landing a rare albino mollycot, as well as his first ever ripsaw catfish, tambaqui, and Juliens golden price carp.
 
 
 
 
Tony Mills returned for a second visit in August his catches this time included a stunning Chinese silver carp, as well as leopard catfish, Mekong catfish, catla carp, Juliens golden price carp, the ‘Friendly Mekong’ again, alligator gar, Siamese carp and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Mike Cr’s second session in August resulted in him capturing three new species namely tambaqui, chao phraya catfish and alligator gar. He also landed Mekong catfish, Siamese carp, wallago attu, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Ian Watson returned in July and was all smiles with his catches of ripsaw catfish, mrigal, Amazon redtail and striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
Graham Wall second session of July was another good one resulting in 4 new species for him namely Chinese silver carp, albino chao phraya catfish, mollycot and black ear catfish. He also caught the ‘Friendly Mekong’ again as well as catla carp, Siamese carp, striped catfish and catfish shark.
 
 
 
 
It was a good inaugural session for Mike Cr and john Leverton in July. Between them they caught a number of species that included Chinese silver carp, Siamese carp, wallago attu, ripsaw catfish, Mekong catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Rahul Singh returned and this time he finally got his Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish t-shirt courtesy of ‘The Friendly Mekong’. He also caught his first mollycot as well as striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
A group of Thai fishing buddies came down from Bangkok and had a great day catching a mint Chinese silver carp, as well as Siamese carp, Mekong catfish, crystal eyed catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Ian Watson briefly popped in with his son Charlie in August and they caught some striped catfish and mollycot.
