To say Jamie Redfern was well chuffed with his visit in April would be an understatement. He land five fish over thee 100lb mark in five days with three of them qualifying for Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirts, these being two monstrous Siamese carp and a leviathan of a Mekong catfish. Other noticeable catches included ripsaw catfish, a very shiny albino chao phraya, an awesome albino pacu and an albino striped catfish. He also landed wallago attu, striped catfish, alligator gar, yellow catfish, giant gourami, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Ian Dale finally made it back to Palm Tree in April after a couple of failed attempts due to the pandemic. He had a right belter of a session qualifying for two Palm Tree BIG Fish club t-shirts after firstly subduing the ‘Friendly Mekong’ and then secondly capturing ‘The Warrior’. In addition to these splendid catches he also landed a rarely caught wallago leeri, an awesome alligator gar as well as wallago attu, striped catfish, catfish shark, chao phraya catfish and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Dan Hasting returned for another session in April and almost immediately broke his black shark minnow pb with an absolute cracker. He also landed leopard catfish, Juliens golden price carp, mollycot, catla carp, Siamese carp, Alligator gar, catfish shark, rohu and more…
 
 
 
 
Ivo Druyts was another first time visitor to Palm Tree during April. He caught a number a great fish that included a cracking Chinese black carp, the ‘Friendly Mekong’, and an albino striped catfish. He also landed striped catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
It was an amazing session for Mike Cr when he returned in April smashing his Salween rita catfish pb with an absolute belter. He then went on to land a second Salween rita in the same day as well as Asian redtail and striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
In April the ‘Overrated Angler’ aka John Harvey was back again for another crack and was soon off the mark with a stunning pb elephant ear gourami. He also caught a number of very chunky Amazon redtail as well as Siamese carp, Mekong catfish, and more…
 
 
 
 
Noel Rinkenbach stopped in at Palm Tree for the first time in April on his way back to Bangkok. He had a successful session landing his first Salween rita, as well as Siamese carp, alligator gar, striped catfish and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Nicky Goy and her family came to Palm Tree for the first time in April and has an enjoyable day catching Mekong catfish, striped catfish, as well as numerous Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Oz Smith was back again for another session in April this time catching wallago attu and rohu both new species for him in addition to a pb Siamese carp. He also landed Mekong catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
It was a quiet session for Jonny Boye when he returned in April although he did land the ‘Warrior’ which turned out to be photo shy escaping before he could be snapped. He did catch a couple of other Siamese carp as well though.
