Mr Mekong aka Stretton Honor was in fine form collecting four Palm Tree Lagoon Big Fish Club t-shirts in a single week, with three Mekong catfish over the 300lb mark and a more than awesome 467lb arapaima. Other noticeable catches included a pb catla carp, some very nice Juliens carp catching three of them in the same day, a pb Chinese black carp,and a stunning pb alligator gar. In addition to this he also caught Siamese carp, mrigal, giant snakehead, vundu catfish, yellow catfish, black shark minnow, wallago attu, tambaqui, African walking catfish, black ear catfish, Asian redtail and many more....
 
Pete Gardiner returning to carry on his quest foe big carp.Well this time he excelled himself not catching one but two Palm Tree Lagoon 150lb Simaese Carp Club qualifying catches, with the bigger one weighing in at 187lb. But he didn't stop there also breaking the lake record Chinese bighead carp with an awesome fish topping the scales at 67lb. Other noticeable catches include a superb catla carp, a massive giant feather back, an 80lb+ alligator gar, and a difficult to catch ripsaw catfish. In addition to this he also caught arapaima, Mekong catfish, giant gourami, giant snakehead, pacu, African walking catfish, rohu, wallaho attu, striped catfish, big-Y catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtails.
 
Regular Oliver Jack was back and he finally got his first Big Fish Club t-shirt with a stunning 330lb Mekong catfish  that he battled for well over two hours. He also succeeded in achieving the rare gourami double catching both giant and elephant ear gourami. In addition to this he also caught giant snakehead, a rare giraffe catfish, arapaima, chao phraya catfish, wallago attu, clown featherback, both Asian and Amazon redtails and more...
 
Owen Huschka was back and top of his wish list was a big Siamese carp and although he left it a bit late he did triumph catching a superb 130lber in the last hour of the last day. In addition to this he also caught an awesome giant snakehead as well as Mekong catfish, black ear catfish, rohu, vundu catfish, chao phraya catfish, Amazon redtail and more...
 
Richard Clarke returned to continue his quest to catch a Juliens golden price carp and he certainly exceeded all expectations catching a number of them all falling to waggler fished bread flake with the biggest topping the scales at 42lb. He also smashed his alligator gar and tambaqui pb's in the process. In addition he also caught a number of other great catches that included rohu, Siamese carp, black shark minnow, yellow catfish, wallago attu, striped catfish, giant snakehead, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtails.
 
Win Bowen at the tender age 76 and a half, became the oldest member of the 300lb Catfish Club after successfully battling a 300lb+ Mekong catfish for over three hours. He also caught a number of other stunning fish that included albino pacu, vulture catfish, alligator gar, wallago attu, striped catfish and Asian redtail.
 
Spanish anglers Pepe Haba and San AD were also all smiles during their first trip to Palm Tree. Top of the bucket list for San was to catch an arapaima and when it dawned upon her in the darkness that she had actually landed one she was over the moon. In addition to this they also caught a rare catla carp, as well as a stunning albino chao phraya catfish, Mekong catfish, yellow catfish, mollycot, striped catfish and  Asian redtail.
 
George Carslake accompanied Peter Gardiner for his first session on Palm Tree and was well pleased with his catches that was topped off by a 130lb Siamese carp. Other impressive catches included Chinese bighead carp, a good sized chao phraya catfish and arapaima. He also caught tambaqui, Mekong catfish, striped catfish, Juliens golden price carp, catfish shark, mrigal, wallago attu, as well as both Asian and Aamazon redtail.
 
Another regular the effervescent Mickey Palmer was also back during the month catching as usual a huge variety of fish that included Juliens golden price carp, Mekong catfish, giant snakehead, tambaqui, Siamese carp, black shark minnow, black ear catfish, bearded labeo, chao phraya catfish, African walking catfish, vundu catfish, arapaima, big-Y catfish, wallago attu, pacu, both Amazon and Thai redtails and more...

 

 
Kevin Nanfan was back for his annual visit catching a wide variety of species that included Siamese carp, Mekong catfish, African walking catfish, big-Y catfish, wallago attu, yellow catfish, catfish shark, giant snakehead, black shark minnow, spotted featherback, arapaima, vundu catfish as well as both Amazon and Asian redtails.
 
Gareth Bowen also made his first visit to Palm Tree during the month. Top of his bucket list was an arapaima of which he caught two of. He was also well pleased with his other catches of big-Y catfish, Mekong catfish, African walking catfish, black ear catfish, wallago attu, striped catfish, and Amazon redtail.
 
Michael Schneider was back for his bi-annual visit and although he didn't catch any monsters this time, he did catch a number of stunning fish that included giant snakehead, giant gourami, a monster pacu, a very large mollycot, alligator gar, arapaima, spotted featherback, wallago attu, Amazon redtail and more...
 
Dave Bowen was another first time visitor and was well chuffed with his catches of rohu, some chunky Mekong catfish, mollycot, leopard catfish, giant featherback, black shark minnow, tambaqui,  striped catfish, Amazon redtail topped off with a stunning rarely caught Atlantic tarpon.
 
Oliver Jack and Michael Schneider ventured out onto the mighty Mae Klong river in the quest for giant freshwater stingray. Although they didn't catch any river monsters this time around they did have an enjoyable time landing several smaller specimens.
 
Matt Bowen returned for another session and was all smiles catching a number of great fish that included several new species such as crystal eyed catfish, giant snakehead and wallago attu. He also caught Mekong catfish, and big-Y catfish.
 
Neil from Khao-Lak Fishing Adventures brought regular customer Andy Cartwright down for a session in which he broke three pb's namely Chinese bighead carp, black shark minnow and Amazon redtail, and came close on a fourth one with a stunning pacu and an awesome tambaqui. He also caught arapaima, and more....
 
A group of three Polish anglers were sent down by Fish Siam and had a number of nice catches that included a 350lb Mekong catfish that between the three of them took almost three hours to land and resulted in them being presented with a Palm Tree Lagoon 300lb Catfish Club t-shirt. In addition they also caught a number of other Mekongs as well as, striped catfish, black shark minnow, catfish shark as well as both Amazon and Asian redtails.
 
Keith Halliday battled for well over two hours and eventually with help from his mate Owen landed a Big Catfish Club qualifying catch with a stunning 350lb Mekong. He also caught an awesome albino chao phraya, as well as Siamese carp, more Mekong catfish, as well as both Thai and Amazon redtails. 
 
Barry Gregory brought along four customers for a session during the month and finally got one of them into the Palm Tree Lagoon 150lb Carp Club with an awesome Siamese. In addition to this they also caught some other superb specimens like Mekong catfish, tambaqui, catfish shark, yellow catfish, striped catfish, rohu, big-Y catfish, vundu catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Spanish angler Liber Faura, her partner and another friend were all smiles as they had a fun time catching wallago attu, a rare albino rohu, catfish shark, striped catfish, mrigal, as well as both Asian and Amazon catfish.
 
Pepe Haba and San AD had an enjoyable day out on the Mae Klong river fishing for giant freshwater stingray, and although there were no monsters caught this time they seemed happy with the small ones that they did manage to catch.
 
The guides well also at it again during the month catching some awesome alligator gar, as well as arapaima, Siamese carp and much more....
 

 

Tim only only had time for a three hour session but still caught a nice sized yellow catfish as wells as Siamese carp and black ear catfish.
 
Lawrence Spencer was well happy with his session vowing to return soon after catching Mekong catfish, striped catfish, wallago attu and Amazon redtail.
 
Dave Creighton who was referred to us by Brett Simmons was all smiles with his catches of arapaima, Mekong catfish, wallago attu, Siamese carp, a stunning alligator gar and Amazon redtails.
 
Blip Smith returned and was over the moon with his catch of a 100lb+ Siamese carp. In addition he caught Mekong catfish, rohu, striped catfish and Asian redtail.
 
Darren Stock returned with his fishing mate Steven Heap and on a quiet day still managed a decent sized Mekong catfish and a stunning albino pacu.
 
Fish Siam sent down a group of Russian anglers who seemed content with their catches of tambaqui, mollycot, yellow catfish, rohu, Siamese carp, catfish shark, and Amazon redtail.
 
A bit of a quiet day by Wayne Murray's standards but he did manage to catch a vundu catfish.
