What a first session at Palm Tree Ian Smith had. Top of his bucket list was to catch a t-shirt qualifying Mekong catfish this he did in style catching not one but two on his very first day of fishing. Not stopping there he went onto catch a Siamese carp that was well over the 100lb mark as well as chao phraya catfish and striped catfish.
 
Palm Tree regular Colin Gawthorpe was back and continued his successful run with yet another arapaima. He also landed a number of other splendid catches that included an awesome tambaqui, Mekong catfish, alligator gar, Siamese carp, rohu, chao phraya catfish, pacu, black shark minnow, mollycot, leopard catfish as well as both Asian and Amazon catfish.
 
Another angler who joined the Palm Tree BIG Catfish Club during the month was Adam Edmonds who landed a leviathan of a Mekong catfish after a tortuous battle. He then went on to catch a number of other fish that included bearded labeo, leopard catfish, striped catfish, wallago attu, and both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Dietmar Heinz was all smiles during his first visit especially after landing a monstrous Mekong catfish after a lengthy battle that catapulted him into the Palm Tree BIG Catfish Club. In addition to this he also caught striped catfish, yellow catfish, catfish shark, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Keith Whitefoot and his fishing buddy had a good session the pinnacle of which was the capture of a rarely caught Chinese black carp and an absolutely stunning albino pacu. They also landed a number of other species like black ear catfish, chao phraya catfish, vundu catfish, black shark minnow, Mekong catfish, tambaqui, Chinese bighead carp, striped catfish, rohu, and Amazon redtail.
 
We had a good trip up to the majestic Khao Laem Dam during the month fishing for both carp species and the predators. Although the rohu were actively jumping they didn't seem to want to feed but we did catch some quality Java barb as well as the odd Smiths barb. As for the predators the giant snakehead were certainly on the munch as were the yellow catfish.
 
Steve Mayo had a number of great catches that included Juliens golden price carp, alligator gar, black shark minnow, chao phraya catfish, rohu, and Amazon redtail.
 
Dutch angler Ronald Megens popped down for a quick visit successfully landing a very dark Juliens golden price carp as well as the hard to catch giant snakehead, as well as pacu, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
 Japanese angler Sakamotoand his fishing buddy also catching a rare elephant ear gourami as well as a splendid Chines bighead carp, yellow catfish and Asian redtail.
 
Italian angler Filippo Simonetti had a good session topped off by two rare catches of a Chinese black carp and an elephant ear gourami. He also caught both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Regular Palm Tree angler Paul Muir returned and as always was all smiles with his catches of Mekong catfish, Siamese carp, pacu, striped catfish, alligator gar, leopard catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian catfish.
 
Mark Caddy had a successful first visit to Palm Tree catching Siamese carp, black shark minnow, vundu catfish, striped catfish, as well both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Italian angler Andrea Fava returned for another session and caught a number of fish that included chao phraya catfish, striped catfish, and both Amazon and Thai redtail.
 
Ann Christensen and her friends also had a great day catching a number of fish that included Siamese carp, striped catfish, rohu, and a number of Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 Some nice fish also for Darren Smith who landed black shark minnow, vundu catfish, leopard catfish, striped catfish and Asian redtail.
 
Gavin Hope was back and got a lot more action this time landing a number of great catches like alligator gar, Mekong catfish, striped catfish, wallago attu, chao phraya catfish, as well as a number of both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
The guides were at it again during the month catching a number of nice catches that included Chinese black carp, alligator gar, Mekong catfish, Amazon redtail, chao phraya catfish and more...
 
David Moring and his partner looked well pleased with their catches of Mekong catfish, striped catfish, Siamese carp, and Amazon redtail.
 
Keith Whitefoot and his fishing buddy enjoyed several days at IT Monster Lake lthat was topped off with a good size chao phraya catfish. They also caught soldier river barb, pacu, alligator gar, and Amazon redtail.
 
Paul Roberts returned and although the fishing conditions were tough still managed to land some nice fish that included black shark minnow, alligator gar, Amazon redtail and leopard catfish.
 
Japanese angler Takahiro Saito landed a number o both Amazon and Asian redtail, as well as mrigal and striped catfish.
 
Lee Stabb had a good inaugural session catching Siamese carp, wallago attu, black shark minnow, mollycot and striped catfish.
 
Moll visited us for the first time during the month successfully landing vundu catfish, striped catfish, Siamese carp and Amazon redtail.
 
Another contented angler Jon Greenwood with his catches of mrigal, striped catfish and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
A couple of passing Japanese anglers stopped for a brief session and seemed more than pleased with their catches of Siamese carp, rohu and Amazon redtail.
 
Japanese angler Akihiro Ito and his family had a great time catching black shark minnow, wallago attu as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Palm Tree first timer Andrey caught several Amazon redtails as well as a beautifully marked leopard catfish.
 
David Lopez was all smiles with his catches of chao phraya catfish, rohu and striped catfish.
 
Magnus Hjelm and his fishing buddy were back catching crystal eyed catfish, Mekong catfish, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Michael Van Den Eeckhaut returned with his fishing buddies and on a hard day caught Amazon redtail, rohu, striped catfish and catfish shark.
 
Japanese angler Kaouru Ikumi and a couple of other anglers whose names I didn't catch seemed pleased with their catches of Mekong catfish, wallago attu and Amazon redtail.
