Sid Fuller first trip to Palm Tree was a right belter earning himself two Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirts firstly with an arapaima of nearly 500lb and then followed it up with a 400lb+ Mekong catfish. No wonder he was all smiles as he then went on to catch a much sought after ripsaw catfish, Siamese carp, black shark minnow, Juliens golden price carp, catfish shark, as well as both Thai and Amazon redtail.
 
Lee Taylor-Clark returned and what a blinder of a session he may not of caught any t-shirters but he did break the lake Chinese black carp record and caught an awesome highly prized ripsaw catfish. In addition to this he finally caught his first Juliens golden price carp as well as Siamese carp, a very chunky black shark minnow, a pb Mekong catfish, striped catfish, wallago attu, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Jay McCarter was back continuing his quest for a BIG Mekong catfish, chao phraya catfish and as many different species as possible. Well he hit the jackpot on all accounts catching not one but two Palm Tree BIG Catfish Club qualifying Mekongs the bigger of the two weighing in at 410lb, as well as an awesome 'Dogeater' (chao phraya catfish). On the species count he also did well landing the likes of alligator gar, tambaqui, Siamese carp, wallago attu, Juliens golden price carp, crystal eyed catfish, yellow catfish, suckermouth catfish, leopard catfish, rohu, striped catfish, catfish shark, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Matt Christelow was back and was soon into the fish catching a variety of species that included a superb tambaqui, the ;Friendly Mekong' for the second time, a very plump black shark minnow, as well as African walking catfish, Juliens golden price carp, chao phraya catfish, striped catfish, Siamese carp, clown featherback, leopard catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Steven Griskauskas came along with his dad and his two boys and were all smiles with their catches of the 'Friendly Mekong', African walking catfish, leopard catfish, black shark minnow, pacu, as well as both Amazon and Thai redtail.
 
Chris Shaw caught a number of stunning fish topped off by a rarely caught ripsaw catfish and a mint Chinese silver carp. He also caught Mekong catfish, tambaqui, Siamese carp, striped catfish as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Klaus Fix caught a good variety of species on his inaugural visit that included the likes of the 'Friendly Mekong', black shark minnow, Siamese carp, leopard catfish, striped catfish, alligator gar, rohu, wallago attu, as well as both Amazon and Thai redtail.
 
Paul Tucker was happy with his first session at Palm Tree catching a number of great catches that included Mekong catfish, Siamese carp, rohu, striped catfish, leopards catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
One of our regulars Lee Dunkerley was back as always enjoyed his session catching some nice species that include Chinese bighead carp, tambaqui, leopard catfish, big-Y catfish, Mekong catfish, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Tim Bowden made his annual visit during the month and had a number of nice catches like yellow catfish, tambaqui, black ear catfish, striped catfish, catfish shark, Mekong catfish, big-Y catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon catfish.
 
Tim Royds was back after an absence of three years and caught a number of fish despite the inclement weather, landing the 'Friendly Mekong' as well as alligator gar, chao phraya catfish, striped catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Another great session for Palm Tree regular Wayne Murray topped off by a stunning albino Chinese bighead carp, In addition to this superb catch he also landed the 'Friendly mekong' (again) as well as pacu, tambaqui, Siamese carp, striped catfish, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Another first timer to Palm Tree Geoff Barrett and had a good session topped off by catching the 'Friendly Mekong' as well as Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Matt Ellis and Wes Davies came down to try and catch themselves some new species which they successfully achieved catching clown featherback, striped catfish, and leopard catfish, as well as Asian Redtail and vundu catfish.
 
Regular Palm Tree angler Richard Carlson returned for another session, unfortunately the fishing was hard but he still caught a number of fish that included the likes of leopard catfish, Mekong catfish, chao phraya catfish and Asian redtail.
 
Tap was down again this month with one of his regulars Cristofre Martin successfully catching big-Y catfish, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Morten Berg made his first visit to Palm Tree this month and caught several fished topped off by this mint alligator gar.
