Maryjane Lees never stopped smiling throughout her session at Palm Tree which was topped off by a mint 100lb+ Siamese carp. She was also the proud captor of a number of other great catches that included arapaima, Mekong catfish, striped catfish, catfish shark, rohu, as well as both Thai and Amazon redtail.
 
Anthony Cavicchio really wanted to catch a giant Mekong catfish to the point that with them on the feed he even extended his stay in an effort to do so. This pragmatic approach paid of as in the afternoon on his last day after a two hour tussle he eventually landed an awesome 380bler that catapulted him into the Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish Club. He also had a variety of other great catches that included pacu, alligato gar, Juliens golden price carp, tambaqui, big-Y catfish, arapaima, mollycot, rohu, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Palm Tree regular Richard Clarke returned and it wasn't long before he attained his 3rd BIG Carp Club t-shirt with a colossal 165lb Siamese carp that took a small piece of waggler fished bread flake. He also caught a rohu by the same method.
 
Jay Stringer was another angler who had a great first session, the pinnacle of which was a 160lb Chao Phraya catfish which gained him membership of the elusive Palm Tree Lagoon 150lb Chao Phraya Catfish Club. In addition to this he caught some other great fish that included, wallago leeri, mollycot, arapaima, pacu, Mekong catfish, rohu, striped catfish, alligator gar, and Amazon redtail.
 
Ste Hart's daughter Karena made her first visit to Palm Tree and had a cracking session topped off by joining the Palm Tree Lagoon 300lb Catfish Club after a torturous four hour long battle with a might Mekong catfish. Top of her wish list was an arapaima which she also successfully caught along with alligator gar, clown featherback, rohu, suckermouth catfish, and striped catfish.
 
Ste Hart a good friend of John Wilson was back accompanied by the legend himself and after a slow start ended up catching a wide variety of fish topped off by a rare 65lb Salween catifsh. In addition he also caught a cracking black shark minnow, mrigal and wallago attu both new species for him, Mekong catfish, big-Y catfish, more new species in the form of crystal eyed catfish and striped snakehead, rohu, as well both Amazon and Thai redtail.
 
Dutch angler Martin Bonelykke ably guided by Neil Robinson of Khao Lak Fishing Adventures specifically wanted to catch a big Mekong catfish. He left it late but on the afternoon of his last day after a hard hour and a half battle he reigned victorious over over a monstrous 380lb Mekong catfish entering him into the Palm Tree Lagoon Big Catfish Club in the process. In addition he also did the pacu family trifecta catching pacu, parapatinga and tambaqui, as well as striped catfish.
 
The guides had their usual dabble during the month catching some big alligator gar, Amazon redtails and Siamese carp just to mention a few....
 
Jay McCarter had a great time down at the legendary John Wilson's private lake 'Bung Sawan' being ably guided by John and Tim. He successfully knocked off two species that were high up on his wish list, firstly ripsaw catfish and then to top it off an arapaima. In addition he also caught a number of Amazon redtails, alligator gar, tilapia and  java barb.
 
Scottish fishing buddies Dean McEwan and Donald McMillan enjoyed their stay at Palm Tree vowing to be back soon. Between them they had some great catches topped off by a Chinese black carp, as well as rohu, black ear catfish, a huge Asian redtail catfish, Mekong catfish, striped catfish, catfish shark and Amazon redtail.
 
Swedish angler Victor Haglund was also a happy customer catching some great fish such as alligator gar, a beautiful albino striped catfish, Juliens golden price carp, a superb leopard catfish, catfish shark, striped catfish, arapaima, Mekong catfish as well  as both Amazon and Thai redtails.
 
David Brown was another first time visitor during the month and beamed all the way catching some great fish that included an awesome pb alligator gar, a pb chao phraya, Mekong catfish, big-Y catfish and more...
 
Mick Dundon returned to further his quest to catch a Juliens golden price carp, although unsuccessful this time he did catch a myriad of other great species that included arapaima, Mekong catfish, catfish shark, spotted featherback, striped catfish, rohu, wallago attu, mollycot as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Nigel Jackson was all smiles with his catches in particular with his arapaima, he also caught some other great species like wallago attu, catfish shark, rohu, mrigal, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtails.
 
Palm Tree regular Wayne Murray was back and had a couple of gruelling fights with Mekong catfish as well as catching, a pb chao phraya catfish, arapaima, some stonking Amazon redtails and more...
 
Rickie Wheeler and his mate Allan Welch had a variety of catches that included giant gourami, some impressive Amazon redtails, a camera shy arapaima, Mekong catfish, catfish shark, striped catfish, big-Y catfish and Asian redtail.
 
Last time Neil Yates came to Palm Tree all he could catch was Amazon redtails, and again this time his first fish was you guessed it an Amazon redtail. However, that's where the similarity ended as he caught his fist Juliens golden price carp and his first catla carp as well as a giant snakehead. But he wasn't finished there as he then battled a 300lb+ monster Mekong catfish for one hour and forty minutes to gain himself membership of the BIG Catfish Club.
 
Paul Cornish also made his first visit to Palm Tree during the month and vowed to be back again in September. He caught some great fish that included arapaima, Mekong catfish, rohu, chao phraya catfish, African walking catfish, big-Y catfish, and Amazon redtail.
 
Michael Felton made the journey up from Hua Hin on the search for big fish and was not disappointed as he become yet another angler to join the 300lb Catfish Club after a torturous three hour battle with a mighty Mekong catfish. He also caught a pb arapaima, big-Y catfish, rohu and a huge striped catfish.
 
Steve Nash made it clear from the start he really wanted to get a Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirt and it looked like it wasn't going to happen until will only twenty minutes to go the buzzer screamed off and after a marathon battle he finally landed his goal, a 300lb+ Mekong Catfish and the t-shirt was his. He also caught striped catfish, catfish shark and Amazon redtail.
 
Regulars Tim Coakley and Jon Boss made the trip across from Pattaya and were soon into the Mekong catfish with Tim finally earning himself a well deserved BIG Catfish Club t-shirt after a lengthy two hour plus battle with a 330lb Mekong catfish. They also caught Amazon redtail and more...
 
Perry Nash was an angler that right form the offset said he wanted to catch an alligator gar and at the end of his first day his wish came true. He then went on to catch some other great fish that included tambaqui, rohu, Amazon redtail, and striped catfish,
 
Jay McCarter was on his second fishing trip to Thailand and high on his wish list was a wallago attu which he caught on his first day, he then went onto catch a superb parapatinga, as well as striped catfish, catfish shark, suckermouth catfish, black alligator gar, rohu as well as both Asian and Amazon redtails.
 
Michell Nash caught a number of good sized Mekong catfish as well as Amazon redtail and a massive striped catfish.,
 
Gaz Cason who resides in Bangkok also made his first visit to Palm Tree during the month successfully catching Mekong catfish, wallago attu, Amazon redtail, striped catfish, rohu, mrigal and catfish shark.
 
Dean Turner didn't manage to catch the Amazon redtail that he so dearly wanted, but did catch a number of other great fish that included arapaima, black shark minnow, striped catfish and Mekong catfish, 
 
Darren Stock was back this time accompanied by three of his fishing mates, Darren caught a pb alligator gar and they all got into the Mekong catfish action.
 
Regular visitor the legendary John Wilson was back with a couple of friends, although he passed most of the fish over to his friends he did land some of them himself, such as Mekong catfish, Amazon redtail and a huge striped catfish.
 
Ste White was all smiles during his first session at Palm Tree catching Mekong catfish, tambaqui and rohu.
 
Martin Bull made the trip up from Cha Am and successfully caught a good sized chao phraya catfish, as well as Mekong catfish, big-Y catfish and striped catfish.
 
John Gregory make the journey up from Pattaya and was very happy with his catches of arapaima and Mekong catfish.
 
David Donaghue was another first time visitor during the month catching some nice Mekong catfish and striped catfish.
 
Another Japanese angler a customer from Fish Siam seemed more than pleased with his catch of a Mekong catfish.
 
John Harper was back with one of his fishing friends and they caught a splendid albino chao phraya catfish, as well as striped catfish, wallago attu and catfish shark.
 
Newcomer Mike Smith seemed pleased with his catches of Mekong catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
 A Japanese customer only caught the one fish for the day a Mekong catfish, but seemed happy enough with it.
 
Return Swedish angler Tommy Tonnesen had a slow day but did end up catching a nice mollycot.
