What a session Catmaster veteran John 'the Llama man' Deakin had topped off by quote the biggest Siamese carp he had ever seen tipping the scales at 190lb and earning him a BIG Carp Club t-shirt. Also ticked off the bucket list were wallago attu of which he caught a total of five, and a stunning Juliens golden price carp that fell to waggler fished bread flake. He also smashed his Mekong catfish pb and caught a number of other species that included catfish shark, leopard catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Palm Tree regular Dolf Van Eijk had another wonderful session topped off by a more than awesome wallago leeri.and went on to complet the wallago double by also catching a number of wallago attu.  As well as these achievements he landed mrigal, pacu, Amazon redtail and striped catfish.
 
Catmaster legend Colin Bunn returned this time with his son and once again had a wonderful session catching the friendly Mekong not once but twice earning both of them entry into the BIG Catfish Club. They also landed a wide variety of other superb species like Juliens golden price carp, African walking catfish, black shark minnow, alligator gar, catfish shark, striped catfish, chao phraya catfish, big-Y catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Catmaster guide Daniel Spreckley made his inaugural trip to Palm Tree during the month and also had some stunning catches topped off by a huge chao phraya catfish and a rarely caught barred sorubim. In addition to this he landed a wide variety of other species that include Mekong catfish, Siamese carp, suckermouth catfish, alligator gar, catfish shark, Juliens golden price carp, striped catfish, mrigal, black ear catfish, and both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Another Catmaster guide Rob Johnson seemed more than content with his catches that topped off by a t-shirter in the form of a monstrous Mekong catfish that took well over to hours to land and a second t-shirter that took almost three hours to land. Other note worthy catches include a rare elephant ear gourami, a very plump Juliens golden price carp and a corker of a rohu. In addition to this he bagged a variety of other species like a stunning alligator gar, black ear catfish, spotted featherback, black shark minnow, wallago attu, striped catfish, catfish shark, striped snakehead, suckermouth catfish, chao phraya catfish, crystal eyed catfish, leopard catfish big-Y catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Julian Barnes was his partner Julie also adopted the old adage that grinners are winners catching an amazing variety of species the pinnacle being an awesome Mekong catfish that catapulted him straight into the BIG Catfish Club. Other noticeable catches included a stunning albino striped catfish and a rare elephant ear gourami. He also landed wallago attu, rohu, chao phraya catfish, African walking catfish, leopard catfish, striped catfish, rohu x black shark minnow, catfish shark, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Catmaster guide David Phillips was all smiles during his first visit to Palm Tree Lagoon catching a wide variety of fish topped off by a BIG Catfish Club qualifying Mekong catfish that took over two long gruelling hours to get the better of. He also landed a plethora of other great catches that included Juliens golden price carp, alligator gar, Siamese carp, mollycot, pacu, catfish shark, striped catfish, big-Y catfish, and Amazon redtail.
 
The guides as usual had a bit of a fish as well during the month catching some stunning species that included Siamese carp, wallago leeri, Juliens golden price carp, chao phraya catfish, alligator gar, Mekong catfish, big-Y catfish and more...
 
The energetic Mickey Palmer was back this time catching a rare Salween catfish as well as smashing his alligator gar pb. He also landed some other superb catches that included wallago attu, Mekong catfish, mollycot, Amazon redtail and more...
 
Dave was back after a two year absence catching arapaima, Mekong catfish and mrigal a new species for him.
 
Daniel Holl was another angler who was happy with his first visit to Palm Tree catching a wide variety of species such as Juliens golden price carp, chao phraya catfish, vundu catfish, clown featherback, black shark minnow, wallago attu, yellow catfish, mollycot, striped catfish, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Gary was back at Palm Tree after a long absence and was over the moon with his catches of a pb Siamese carp and a wallago attu a new species for him.
 
Tim was back and had a successful dabble catching Mekong catfish, giving young Benji an excuse to get into the water.
 
Mark Jones made the trip up from Pattaya for his first visit successfully catching a number of species that included catla carp, black shark minnow, chao phraya catfish, striped catfish, wallago attu, mollycot and Amazon redtail.
 
John Deakin and Tim took a trip to IT Monster lake to see if they could get John a chao phraya catfish. That they did and John also caught another new species for him a soldier river barb, as well as Amazon redtail.
 
Newcomer Philippe Loncroni after a slow start had a good session completing the rarely achieved wallago attu / wallago leeri double as well as landing Mekong catfish, a stunning alligator gar, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
Kevin Nanfan was back and this time he finally caught himself a stunning Juliens golden price carp a species he had been after for a while. In addition to this he broke his Mekong catfish pb, as well as catching Chinese bighead carp, big-Y catfish, Siamese carp, Amazon redtail and more...
 
We took Mickey Palmer down to IT Monster lake on the pursuit of chao phraya catfish. With 10 minutes left in the session he finally landed one after loosing one earlier in the day. He also caught soldier river barb a new species for him and Amazon redtail.
 
Three fishing mates Brad Unwin, and brothers Barry and Steve Scott, had an enjoyable session topped off by joining the Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish Club after landed an awesome Mekong catfish that took almost two hours to subdue. They also caught a stunning albino chao phraya catfish as well as rohu and more Mekongs.
 
German anglers Alexander Reiser and Sophie were another couple that enjoyed their stay and although unlucky to loose a big Mekong catfish after a two and a half hour battle still caught a number of other great species including a stunning albino pacu, Siamese carp, striped catfish, chao phraya catfish, Mekong catfish, and Amazon redtail.
 
An exhausted Paul Armstrong was delighted when after a gruelling three hour battle a Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish Club qualifying Mekong was finally landed. He also caught striped catfish and more Mekong catfish.
 
Peter Taverner made his way up from Pattaya was over the moon with this stunning Juliens golden price carp. He also landed chao phraya catfish and a monster pb striped catfish.

Martin Smith was another angler who was pleased with the results of his first visit which was topped off by landing the friendly Mekong to gain membership to the Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish Club. He also caught tambaqui, pacu, wallago attu and Amazon redtail.
 
Paul Roberts vowed to be back soon after having a great time on his first visit to Palm Tree catching wallago attu, Mekong catfish, Asian redtail and striped catfish.
 
Andy and Sabrina were back for their annual visit and successfully caught pb Mekong catfish as well as catfish shark, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Marcus Zeus and his wife Necil were all smiles with their catches on their inaugural trip to Palm Tree landing alligator gar, pacu, Mekong catfish as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
Luke Clough and his girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to Palm Tree catching Mekong catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Allan Oakeshott was back after a lengthy absence and wasted no time in getting back in the swing of things landing several pb's namely Mekong catfish, pacu and Thai redtail, as well as big-Y catfish.
 
Adam Griffin popped in on the way back to the UK from Australia. He caught mollycot and crystal eyed catfish which were new species for him as well as striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Brad Laing also made his annual pilgrimage to Palm Tree during the month catching a superb alligator gar as well as, vundu catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Chris Hatt was back and was happy with his catches of a stunning Amazon redtail, striped catfish, and catfish shark.
 
Luke Reeve on his first session at Palm Tree landed caught a number of nice fish that included wallago attu, Mekong catfish, and Amazon Redtail.
 
Kristian Rohr returned with an angling pal and they caught wallago attu, Mekong catfish and mollycot.
 
Anthony Norton made his annual visit during the month catching Siamese carp, Mekong catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
Singaporean angler Shawn Tan made his first visit to Palm Tree successfully catching Mekong catfish and Siamese carp.
 
Christoph Seitz returned with a fishing buddy and they caught Mekong catfish, black shark minnow, and crystal eyed catfish.
 
Brett Simmons was back on his quest for big carp, unfortunately the carp were not feeding but he did catch a pb Asian redtail.
 
Steven Smith returned for a quick session catching Mekong catfish.
