What as awesome session in March it was for Rob Manning fishing a Mekong catfish float rig off the back of the aerator and hooking what he thought was a Mekong catfish but turned out to be after a fifty minute battle a 241lb Siamese carp. Give that man a Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Carp Club t-shirt. He also caught leopard catfish, black shark minnow and striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
Tim Coakley first trip of the year was a right belter landing no more than 18 ripsaw catfish as well as Chinese black carp, tambaqui, Siamese carp, giant gourami, leopard catfish, black ear catfish, catla carp, bearded labeo, rohu, striped catfish, black shark minnow, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Christopher Walk and his fishing mate made their inaugural trip to Palm Tree in January catching a stellar albino Chinese bighead carp, as well as Chinese silver carp,  some very impressive alligator gar, rohu x black shark minnow, Siamese carp, as well as both Thai and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Mark Jones and his son were back for another visit in April and were soon into the fish as they landed a number of superb specimens including some awesome catla carp and alligator gar as well as grass carp, the 'Friendly Mekong", pacu, ripsaw catfish, albino chao phraya catfish, yellow catfish, crystal eyed catfish, leopard catfish, rohu, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
It was another stellar session in February for Mr Punch aka John Harvey topped off by a new species for him a giraffe catfish as well as finally landing the 'Warrior' for another Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Carp club t-shirt. He also caught vundu catfish, clown featherback, alligator gar, giant gourami, rohu, wallago attu, yellow catfish, Chinese silver carp, black shark minnow, spotted featherback, striped catfish, as well as both Thai and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
James Gillies-Baker was another first time visitor at Palm Tree in February that had a great session the pinnacle being a marathon two hour plus battle with a Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Catfish Club qualifying Mekong catfish. He also caught some cracking alligator gar, giant snakehead, leopard catfish, wallago attu and both Asian and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Chaianan Thapthai visited Palm Tree for the first time in February and had a good session capturing a variety of specimens like tambaqui, giant gourami, the 'Friendly Mekong', alligator gar, ripsaw catfish, giraffe catfish, Siamese carp, and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Tim Coakley's second session of the year was another belter as he yet again landed a number of normally hard to catch ripsaw catfish as well as Juliens golden price carp, elephant ear gourami, another two Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish t-shirts with the capture of both the 'Warrior' and the 'Friendly Mekong', mrigal, leopard catfish, rohu, and both Asian and Amazon redtail that included a black amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Liam Warren and some fishing mates came down in January for their first session of the year and had an enjoyable day catching an awesome giant snakehead, alligator gar, vundu catfish, rohu, wallago attu, as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
 John Nicolson and his fishing buddy Liam Warren returned in March and had a good session that was topped off by an impressive Chinese bighead carp and of course the 'Friendly Mekong'. They also landed a superb albino pacu as well as black shark minnow, alligator gar, spotted featherback, leopard catfish, yellow catfish, striped catfish as well as both Asian and amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Tim Coakley's third trip of the year was yet another successful one adding two more Palm Tree Lagoon BIG Fish Club t-shirts to his collection by landing both the Warrior' and the 'Friendly Mekong'.  He also caught a variety of other species including black ear catfish, black shark minnow, tambaqui, crystal eyed catfish, ripsaw catfish, leopard catfish, giant gourami, rohu, striped catfish and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Graham Wall's first trip in March saw him successfully break his tambaqui pb as well as catch some other impressive fish namely albino chao phraya catfish, black shark minnow as well as Siamese carp, and both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Ste White finally returned in March after a lengthy absence, he had a great session catching some awesome alligator gar as well as vundu catfish, wallago attu, Siamese carp, the 'Friendly Mekong' again, chao phraya catfish, as well as both Thai and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Benny landed a belter of an albino Chinese silver carp as well as catching a number of other Chinese silver carp from a nearby dam and introducing them into Palm Tree.
 
 
 
 
Marcus Yeo made his inaugural visit to Palm Tree in April landing wallago attu, catla carp, Mekong catfish, chao phraya catfish, striped catfish as well as both Amazon and Asian redtail.
 
 
 
 
Graham Wall second trip of the year in March resulted in catches of chao phraya catfish, Siamese carp, Amazon redtail and striped catfish.
 
 
 
 
David Harris returned in March after an absence of several years and had an enjoyable day catching a good sized giant snakehead, ripsaw catfish, striped catfish, wallago attu and Amazon redtail.
 
 
 
 
Vegas Apte returned to be the first customer of 2021 successfully catching vundu catfish, leopard catfish, wallago attu, mrigal, catla carp, yellow catfish, as well as both Asian and Amazon redtail.
